Since 1988, the Great Northern Arts Society has hosted an annual gathering of artists, storytellers, musicians and community to celebrate, share, and provide opportunities for Arctic artists.

We really enjoyed our time at GNAF. It was a lovely festival to attend as artists, everyone was so welcoming. Sewing and laughing with all the Aunties was just the best.

This year marked my first time participating in the Great Northern Arts Festival in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, both as a featured artist and an attendee. I was continually impressed by the level of communication and organization demonstrated by the dedicated staff and volunteers. Throughout the week, I felt genuinely cared for, and the experience allowed me to expand my reputation as an artist across different communities in the Northwest Territories.

I haven't been to a festival for 30+ years and my experience for the festival was so awesome. I'd do it all again tomorrow, if I could. Hehe. Seeing friends and making new friends was so perfect. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I'd go again.
